Two Ways To Make Sure A Referral Is Yours.

Credit is tied to the fleet’s email address, so you never depend on a browser cookie surviving. When a fleet becomes a paying customer using an email registered to you, the commission is yours.

OPTION A

Share your link

Your link opens a welcome page that names you as the referrer and asks the fleet for their work email. That registers them to you and sends them on to the product they need.

OPTION B

Register the fleet yourself

Had the conversation in person or on the phone? Enter the fleet contact’s email in your dashboard before they sign up. Same credit, no link needed.

The first valid registration wins. The fleet must be a new X3 customer and make its first payment within 90 days of being registered, using the registered email.

Staying active: the ongoing 10% is paid on any payment a fleet makes after its first year, as long as at least one new fleet you referred became a paying customer in the 12 months before that payment. The 20% in year one has no such condition.

  • Paid every month to your bank through Stripe, 30 days after the customer’s payment clears, once you’ve reached $100.
  • Fees stated up front. Stripe’s payout fee ($2.25 plus 0.25%) comes out of each payout. A $9.99 tax-form fee is taken once a year, only if we paid you $2,000 or more the year before. Nothing else.
  • Your rate is locked per referral. If program terms change, fleets already credited to you keep the terms they came in on.
  • A person, not a bot. Applications and payouts are reviewed by someone on our team.
What we ask

  • No self-referrals. Your own company, or one you own or work for, doesn’t count.
  • No made-up claims. Don’t promise an audit result, a score change or a DataQ outcome, and don’t imply X3 is part of FMCSA or USDOT.
  • No hiding the relationship. Tell people you may earn a commission. The FTC requires it and so do we.
  • No spam and no brand bidding. No unsolicited bulk email or texts, and no ads on X3 brand names.
  • No poaching existing customers. Commission is for fleets that are new to X3.

What exactly do I earn commission on?
20% of what a fleet you referred actually pays X3 — subscriptions and one-time purchases, on any product in the family — for 12 months starting from that fleet’s first payment. After that, 10% for as long as the fleet remains a customer and you remain an active partner. Sales tax and refunded amounts are excluded.
What does “active partner” mean?
It only matters after a fleet’s first year. You earn the ongoing 10% on a payment if at least one new fleet you referred became a paying customer in the 12 months before that payment. Refer one new paying fleet a year and the 10% keeps running on everyone you’ve brought in. If you stop, the 10% pauses; it starts again on payments made after your next new fleet starts paying. Your dashboard shows the date your active status runs through.
How do you know a customer came from me?
By email address. A fleet is registered to you when they enter their work email on your link’s welcome page, or when you register them in your dashboard. When a customer pays using that same email within 90 days, they’re credited to you. If a fleet signs up with a different email, tell us and we’ll look at it.
When and how do I get paid?
Monthly, straight to your bank through Stripe. After you’re approved you set up payouts once on Stripe’s secure page (bank account, identity and tax details); we never see or store them. A commission becomes payable 30 days after the customer’s payment clears. Once your payable balance reaches $100, it goes into that month’s payout. Anything under $100 rolls forward. Every payout is reviewed and approved by a person before it’s sent.
Are there any fees?
Two, and both come out of your payout rather than being billed to you. First, Stripe’s payout fee: $2.25 plus 0.25% of each payout (about $2.83 on a $230 payout). Second, a $9.99 annual tax-form processing fee, taken from your first payout of the year, only if we paid you $2,000 or more in the previous calendar year and a 1099 was required. If you earned less than that, there is no tax-form fee. Each fee shows as its own line on your statement.
What happens if a customer gets a refund?
The commission on the refunded amount is reversed. If you were already paid for it, it comes off your next payout. You’ll see the reversal as its own line in your dashboard.
What if two partners refer the same fleet?
The first valid registration wins. A registration stays open for 90 days; if the fleet hasn’t become a customer by then, it expires and the fleet can be registered again.
Can I earn on a fleet that’s already an X3 customer?
No. Commission is for fleets that are new to X3 at the time they’re registered to you.
Do I have to tell people I earn a commission?
Yes. Say it clearly and close to your recommendation — for example, “I may earn a commission if you sign up through my link.” That’s an FTC requirement, and it’s part of the agreement.
Does it cost anything, and is there a quota?
No and no. It’s free to join and there’s no minimum number of referrals.
What about taxes?
Partners are independent contractors and responsible for their own taxes. Stripe collects your tax details when you set up payouts, and a year-end 1099 is issued where required. The program currently pays partners with a U.S. bank account.
